ADD/ADHD Program

During the past twenty years, Excelsior Academy has provided the families of San Diego County with a school that meets the needs of children who have Attention Deficit Disorder or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.  This comprehensive and effective program includes:

• predictable schedules and structured activities with a multi-sensory approach
• consistent reinforcement of skills learned using cognitive behavior management
• a sports program with little emphasis on competition and more emphasis on cooperation
• supportive resources for parents
• communication with the child’s outside therapist as needed
• a tailored program to meet each student’s developmental needs
• an emphasis on long-term outcomes through goal setting and attainment
