WELCOME SOON-TO-BE STUDENT
We are glad you are considering joining Excelsior Academy – the best school in San Diego. Of course, we are a bit biased in our thinking. Besides that’s what people in Washington, D.C. told us. What Excelsior is really all about is discovering your unique talents, finding ways that you learn best, getting you caught up in school, and helping you to focus on figuring out what you wan to do with your life. We’re here to help you take on any educational challenges you choose.
As you can see, Excelsior is a school. So we are about learning, but we’re about much more that that. Our students will tell you just how much they like it here! As a matter of fact, you will get to meet some soon.
We have something for everyone - a pretty cool campus with lots to do. We have a way cool athletics program with creative PE classes, fun intramural games, and competitive sports- and the best part is everybody plays. You might find our students enjoying each other’s company in social gatherings, and/or taking part in clubs, music, art, drama, drumline, chess, gardening, karate, games, etc., etc., etc.
Our school likes to make use of all the things that our great city of San Diego has to offer. So we have field trips to all kinds of cool places, bring in guest speakers to enhance our lessons, have a Career Day full of knowledgeable people, do rock climbing, rope courses, hiking, water sports, and all kinds of other things the teachers dream up.
We also care about our San Diego community and like to do things to help out, such as: food drives; writing letters to soldiers; collecting toys for kids; cleaning up the beaches; working with the elderly or homeless; helping disaster victims; and generally volunteering in whatever ways we are needed – but, you get the picture.
So if you are searching for a school where you can learn without being bullied or teased; if you want a school where teachers understand you and classmates support you; if you’re looking for a place to shine – look no further. You have found it right here at Excelsior.
